For the budding young photography enthusiasts! These workshops are aimed at children 10-13 years, but I am happy to open them to slightly older/younger children depending on their interest. The workshops are offered during the school holidays. There are limited places available and to ensure your child receives full input the course is limited for 4 to 6 children.

 

W O R K S H O P  A I M S

 

We will cover the basics of the digital camera: How the camera works, the settings and the differtent modes. We will also look at composition and visual awareness.

We will go out for a walk to use the new skills and take photographs locally. Outdoors, I will explain different composition ideas along with outdoor lighting techniques (weather dependant) otherwise we will set up an indoor studio.

Your child will come away from the course with a better understanding of how to use their digital camera, and how to take a well exposed and composed photograph.

 

The cost of the workshop is £30 for the afternoon, 1pm - 4.30pm and includes a course booklet for the children to take away and keep.

Snacks and drinks are provided too.

It would be helpful if the children have their own digital camera, although this is not essential.

 

I have an enhanced CRB certificate and insurance.

 

I also teach Photography Courses in schools: Term time only, lasting for 10 weeks.
